Whapping Wharf, Cargo 2
Yesterday as part of the Bristol Bloggers group I was invited to the launch of #cargo2 at Wapping wharf. The second phase brings a mix of retail and food containers, including a massage unit, yoga and bamboo products! I was there for the new food places and they certainly didn’t disappoint.
The Bristol Cheesemonger has a delightful selection of West Country cheeses, the ricotta I tried was heavenly! Olivers ice cream has a huge array of beautiful ice creams and sorbets…including a thatchers cider sorbet and for some beautifully prepared salt beef sandwiches you have to go visit Flora and Robyn at the Pickled Brisket for them to prepare you a carefully considered treat!
Upstairs on the corner you’ll find Spuntino, where you can sit down to eat a twist on American classics. Their lobster mac and cheese, buttermilk chicken in baby pancakes with maple and chilli dressing was top knotch, as was the Marla Sands burger with pulled pork and their pb and j ice cream dessert was to die for! Finally if you fancy a taco pop to Cargo Cantina or for Greek style pittas The Athenian.
